Hey guys,
I've started dabbling in porting assets from games and importing their FBX files to Blender to learn how to render and the like.
I've tried uModel a couple times and Noesis but there a lot of games that I'd love to render that I have no clue how to port. The games like Resident Evil, Sunset Overdrive and others are listed on here, but how does it work? Can it export scenery/environmental or just characters?
Is it a case of selecting the PAK, UPK, ARC or whatever file the assets are believed to be in and it opens like a ZIP file, or do you need other programs like Noesis to view/convert them? Games I have bought through Steam so is this exporter compatible also?
I'm interested, as I wanna learn how game assets are made n stuff, so maybe I can start building my own stuff which I've started learning now, but would like to know how to use this and what it does before I buy :) any info you can provide would be amazing, thank you!
Adam
Hi, you can find info about our tools on their page, in the description but we see that you need more than that so of course, we can provide you info that you need about our tools. You can export all of the assets including environments from the games that you're interested like Sunset Overdrive or Resident Evil with our Unarch Tool. It works like this; first, you select the game's exe, then you select the input folder which contains the game archives (all of the archives or for some games, only the archive that contains the file you want to export will be enough.).Lastly, you select the output folder and the tool starts to extract the content after you hit the extract button. After the extraction, we have the necessary tools for you to convert/open the extracted content. You can view/import/export the extracted 3D models with our Geomorph Tool which comes free if you buy Unarch Tool Unrivaled Edition. Geomorph has the same compatibility range as Unarch Tool Unrivaled Edition. And you can convert the textures with our completely free Texmorph Tools which supports a good amount of games engine types like RE Engine, Insomniac(like Sunset Overdrive), MTFramework(like Resident Evil 5), Unreal Engine, Bethesda(like The Evil Within 2) games. Normally we were planning to respond to you after we release the tutorial and introduction videos of the tools but it's taking a little longer than expected. You can wait for the videos to see the usage with your own eyes, then buy it. Or if you prefer to buy now, please know that we'll be here to help you with the tools. Hope this clears the questions on your mind, if you have more questions please don't hesitate to ask. And finally, thank you for opening a discussion on the forum about it, it made us so happy. :)
